Community Engagement
The Localism Bill has made community consultation a fundamental part of the development
process. D2 Planning has extensive experience of arranging and undertaking community
consultation events. In addition, we have extensive experience of preparing Statements
of Community Engagement.
We have been involved in a wide range of one to one discussions with local residents
and elected members to arranging formal exhibitions of proposals where local residents
can view and provide feedback on proposals. Recent consultation events have included:
i) Residential redevelopment for 53 units at Boston’s Boatyard, Plymouth;
ii) Town centre redevelopment with a major supermarket and ancillary shops, leisure
etc at Pitsea, Basildon.
iii) Residential and employment redevelopment of former employment site at Linpac,
Woodley.
iv) Residential development for 30 units at Wembury, Devon.
