Retail


D2 Planning are retained by London & Cambridge Properties Limited to advise on the redevelopment of Pitsea Town Centre in Basildon, Essex.  The proposals involves the demolition of a number of existing buildings including Pitsea swimming pool, which is outdated, with a 75,000 sqft Morrison’s supermarket, additional Class A1 and A3 retail uses together with a new facility for Pitsea Market.


D2 Planning has co-ordinated and submitted a detailed planning application as well as having prepared a detailed retail impact assessment which assessed the qualitative and quantative need for the proposed development including its impact on local centres.


The proposals are fully supported by the Local Planning Authority and the application was subsequently approved by the Council.
